Magnetically Coupled Stirrerheads for Glass Vessels

Sizes

Two versions are available, for insertion into B29 (29/32) or B45 (45/40) glass conical joints. They provide good seal for vacuum to less than 1 mBar.

Characteristics

Torque capacities:

• 0.4 Nm (B29 version)
• 0.9 Nm (B45 version)

Maximum temperatures:

• 170°C without cooling
• 310°C with cooling

Screw mounted versions

Both stirrerheads are available in screw mounted versions, which are suitable for pressure service up to 100 Bar.
The 0.4 Nm version is fitted as standard to the JUVO High Pressure Reactor.

Fire Suppression Troughs

Principle

If a glass vessel containing flammable solvents breaks, the spilt liquid is caught in the trough. Provided that the vapour pressure of the solvent is not too high, if the spillage catches fire, the steel mesh prevents air circulation, suppresses the flame, and the fire is extinguished through lack of oxygen.

Construction

The troughs are manufactured from stainless steel. Because of this, there is no risk that any alkyl halides present will react with the materials of the trough to form spontaneously igniting Grignard type compounds.

Capacity

Standard capacity: 12 liters, other sizes can made to order.

Burners, Tripods and Gauzes

General

Every type of burner can be supplied for use with town gas, natural gas or propane/butane. Some types are also available in a pattern that will function with any of the gases mentioned.

Types of Burner available

Bunsen, Meker, Meker-Fischer, Tecla, glass-blowing. Fitted with needlevalves, pilot flames.
Certain models are available with various sizes ofburner tube.

Bosses, Clamps, Retort Stands, Burette Clamps and Stands

Bosses and Clamps

For flasks, retorts, condensers and general purposes. Made from malleable iron or stainless steel. Jaw openings from 25 to 75 mm.

Retort Stands

Tripod or flat plate type. Various lengths of stand rod are available.

Burette Clamps

For one or two burettes.

Burette Stands

Burette stands have an inlaid white and black plastic tile for ease of titration.

Sundry Items
